The Commission on the Status of Women is proud to sponsor the second annual Young Women's Empowerment Academy (YWEA) on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the University of Arizona. Last year’s First Annual YWEA was a great success.
Girls and workshop leaders will get to know each other during three morning workshops:
After a complimentary lunch, the afternoon is sure to be filled with fun as participants learn about the University of Arizona campus searching for clues and answers in a treasure adventure about famous women!

Parents & Caregivers are invited to participate in a 1-hour program (from 9-10 a.m.) specifically geared towards supporting families in raising strong women. Participants will receive a resource guide and an engraved silver-star keychain.
