CSW offers competitive funding for faculty, staff and student projects that promote equity and inclusion through its mini-grants program. The maximum award amount per project is $1,500; requests average $400-600 per project. Partial funding may be granted if the maximum amount is requested.
The next call for proposals will open December 12th, 2016 and will close on March 3rd, 2017. The review process will take place and winners will be notified at the beginning of April.
UA departments, programs and individual faculty, staff and student body members are eligible to apply for CSW mini-grants. Student programs must be officially recognized by the Associated Students of the University of Arizona. Funded projects must be able to provide a state or local unrestricted UA account.
Applicants may submit proposals for multiple projects. Please provide a separate application for each project. Preference will be given to first-time applicants.
Funding will be awarded based upon the project's expected impact and how well it advances one or more of these CSW goals:
If your proposal is funded, you must use the funds within one year of receiving the mini-grant award. You must also provide an electronic summary (such as a PowerPoint presentation) to the commission within 30 days of the project's completion. CSW may also request a brief oral presentation at a meeting or event.
The following projects are among those provided funding in recent years:
